Tickets are now on sale for the Landscapes of Distinction Awards (the Awards) dinner, held at The Hilton in Auckland. The Awards offer an unparalleled opportunity for the landscaping industry to come together to recognise and celebrate landscape and design projects from the best practitioners in the country
The LOD awards programme is prestigious and widely recognised within – and beyond – the landscaping industry. Come and celebrate the 2025 Awards at a gala dinner on 26 July and, while you’re in Auckland, make sure to attend the RML AGM on Friday 25 July at 5pm in Ponsonby, followed by drinks with members from around the country.
“It’s an unbelievable venue, it’s going to be super exciting,” says RML board member and Onlandscapes director Ollie Newman. “We’re very excited to go up to Auckland to showcase our best work and see the best from other landscapers around the country.”
While this year hasn’t been an easy one for many landscaping businesses, and investing in staff morale might not seem like a top priority, most business coaches agree that hard years make celebrating the wins more important than ever.
Meanwhile, RML Chairperson Janet Clarke says that the judges have begun their first review of the submissions.
“We truly hope the process was clearer and easier this year but also realise it won’t have been perfect. We welcome feedback regarding the process, so we can improve it before the next competition in 2027.
“With nearly four months until the Awards, we look forward to showcasing our members’ entries on our social media channels and through the People’s Choice competition, which begins 1 May.”

With RML members and their teams coming from around the country, the awards night itself presents an unparalleled networking opportunity to mingle with the best landscapers from across New Zealand.
